Veterinary Immunology and Immunopathology, 2005, Volume 108, N°1-2, 151-156
In the last 60 years, the immunohistochemistry method has experienced a considerable development and has become a particularly useful diagnostic tool in various fields allowing to determine the quantity, the distribution and the location of specific epitopes in tissue samples. A wide range of molecules can be detected by immunohistochemistry antigens specific of infectious agents, receptors, cytokines, mutant p53 protein in case of tumor, etc. This paper gives a brief overview of the existing application of immunohistochemistry staining.
